In 2011, Karen Toren joined VWR as the Director of Talent Management. Karen is responsible for the development of integrated talent acquisition, training and development strategies. Karen has over 16 years experience in Training and Human Resources. Prior to joining VWR, Karen was the Corporate Commercial Learning & Development Manager for General Electric, where she was responsible for the training strategy and curriculum for 3,000 sales managers and 6,000 marketing employees globally.
Karen was also the Global Training Leader for GE Power and Water from 2007 to 2010. In that role, she was responsible for the development and execution of the training strategy and curriculum.
Karen received her Bachelors degree in Business, majoring in Marketing and International Business from Penn State University. She completed her Masters Degree in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania.
